Sudan – a mechanical engineer and expert in additive manufacturing processes – to help drive product development for Early Charm’s advanced materials companies

May 25, 2023, Baltimore, MD – Materic, a custom manufacturer of advanced materials, today announced the hiring of Kavish Sudan – a mechanical engineer with expertise in materials and process development for additive manufacturing processes – as Research Scientist.

In his research career, Sudan has worked on developing new and innovative processes for 3D printing using different types of feedstock materials such as polymers, metals, ceramics and their composites.

He also brings significant knowledge and experience in DfAM and process optimization for powder bed fusion and material extrusion processes.

“With his strong advanced materials background, Kavish joins our team at the right time as we continue our fast growth,” said Ken Malone, Executive Officer with Materic. “Kavish brings a deep understanding of the properties of different materials and their behavior under different manufacturing conditions – both vital to help meet our customers’ fast-moving industry demands.”

In his new role with Materic, Sudan will focus on driving product development and manufacturing with Materic companies, including Synteris and DANAE. As Research Scientist, Sudan also will center his work on advanced materials and process development to commercialize Synteris’s novel net shape non-oxide ceramic 3D printing technology.

Sudan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (in Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Jammu. He also has earned a Master of Science, Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville where he is currently working on completion of his PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
