Materic’s Dipole-JW is a nonwoven nanofiber yarn with piezoelectric response properties, meaning it exhibits a change in electrical voltage when subjected to mechanical elongation, twisting, compression, or vibration. Dipole-JW is made of aligned thermoplastic polyvinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene (PVDF-TrFE) nanofibers, which are electrospun into a mat and then twisted into a yarn.
Our DPM Filter product line uses electrospun nanofibers to provide air filtration to almost any specification. Originally developed at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as an emergency replacement for N95 masks, the DPM Filter product line has since been expanded to a range of specialty products including a transparent filter.
Materic’s electrospun BioPaper is a nanofiber cell scaffold composed of biologically-derived materials that create a cell microenvironment for drug screening, 3D bioprinting, or tissue engineering. Sold in packs of 3.
Materic’s Koyla Web™ carbon nanofiber (CNF) mats are produced via electrospinning. As an expert custom manufacturing organization (CMO), Materic utilizes electrospinning as an efficient and highly customizable process to produce inexpensive nanofibers with high surface area to volume ratio, and outstanding mechanical properties. The Koyla Web™ carbon nanofibers have wide ranges of applications from forming composites for aviation materials to making up gas diffusion layer (GDL) for proto-exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells in renewable energy sector.
